Alice Arthur Bio.

ALICE ARTHUR is a minister of the gospel, inspirational/motivational speaker, trainer, life coach, stress consultant and professional comedienne/actress. Says Alice,  "God is multifaceted, so am I."

She was born in Mobile Alabama the sixth of eight children, now resides in Los Angeles, California. She holds a BA degree in Speech Communications from Pace Univ., New York and an honorary Ph.D. in Christian Arts from St. Stephens Bible College, Los Angles. She is an accomplished speaker and stress consultant, skilled as an instructor and trained in WPA Stress Management Techniques as well as, has earned certificates in Mediation Training-The Art Of Win-Win Negotiations and Intensive Mediation Clinic from UCLA. In addition, Alice is a comedienne extraordinary; a funny lady who believes that humor is a gift from God. She uses her God given gift to help and heal others. Her unique talent and ability as a comedienne allows her to inject humor into any subject; this skill places her in demand as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter and trainer, on the church, educational and corporate circuit.

Alice's career as an entertainer began when she entered a talent search sponsored by NBC's Positively Black." Out of a thousand entries, Alice was selected to exhibit her talent on this popular New York based TV series. A new comedienne was discovered. During the course of her career, she has shared "headline" billing on sell-out tours from Los Angeles' Greek Theater to Philadelphia's Valley Forge Music Fair. Her talents have afforded her the opportunity to tour with Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Stephanie Mills, Ashford & Simpson, B.B King, Reverend Al Green, Patrice Rushen, among others. She has also performed at Gospel festivals and comedy shows at many of the largest churches in Los Angeles, including Crenshaw Christian Center and West Angeles Church Of God In Christ. Her television work includes appearances on a variety of popular TV shows: "Soul Train", "Kids Are People Too", NBC's "Laugh Trax," "227," "A Different World," "New Attitude," "Hill Street Blues," "NAACP Image awards Show."

The entrepreneur in Ms. Arthur combined with her scholarly interest in the healthful benefits of laughter led to the creation of Laugh Break Seminar Series, through which she conducts workshops and trainings.
