"Warning! Know Your Enemy"

To All Winners In 2008,
This is the year of new beginnings. A great way to begin and win is to know and defeat your dream thieves. A primary principal of winning in any battle is knowing your enemy. You must be able to recognize them under any circumstances and know their mode of operating. You CAN NOT defeat an enemy you do not know that you have. This is the case with most who struggle with the dream thief identified as PROCRASTINATION. Is it really procrastination? You can not hit a target you can not see, or defeat an enemy you do not know you have.
This subject resonates with me and I love to be a help when correction can empower others. PROCRASTINATION is one of the seven dream thieves in my motivational, goal development Program: "I Know I Can Fly" –How To Get The Dreams Out Of Your Heart And Into Reality, To Overcome The Dream Thieves That Hinder Your Success. Procrastination is the #1 thief to progress. I use to brand myself as a procrastinator, until I did some deep self-examination and a bit of research on the subject and found, that procrastination by definition means never having begun, no activity started at all. In most cases in which I branded myself a procrastinator, what I was doing was stagnating.
STAGINATION is dream thief #2, which means–ceasing to run or flow, become inactive. So you see, you can be in stagnation, thinking it is procrastination. These are projects you have started to work on. Why is it important to know the difference? First let me give you the simple answer: "Don't call the cat, if you want the dog." Here is the weighty reason, because labeling yourself a procrastinator, when you are not, places a heavy emotional burdon upon you mentally, which creates a greater barrier for your "Will," the gatekeeper of your mind, to overcome in order for you to change the thought to reverse the action. You say you are a procrastinator, you believe it, so you act on what you believe, which helps to enforce your behavior and your will seals the deal.
In addition, you CAN NOT defeat an enemy you do not know you have, identity is key. It is far easier to begin again, when you can see activity that can be built upon, "beginning is half done," than it is to start from cratch, which is why often we resist first acts. Even though you are part way there, calling it procrastination is saying to your mind, I have not begun. This brings about emotional stress and resistance to the action you want as well as places a roadblock for your "Will" to get around to help you start. Your will is the most dominate authority in the earth over your affairs. When you block it unknowingly, it BLOCKS YOU, STOPS YOU!
